GOD KNOWS YOU BY YOUR NAME

And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity Scripture Reference: Luke 13:10-12 (KJV)

Jesus was teaching multitudes in the synagogue one Sabbath. As He was teaching, He saw a woman who was bent over, crippled and could not straighten up at all amongst the people who were present. The devil had afflicted her with this condition for eighteen years. This condition did not allow her to look at people straight because she could not stand erect. This woman was a victim of oppression from the devil and she was really suffering. Jesus called her over and spoke a word of healing upon her and she received her healing in an instant.

Like the woman in the Scripture, your life might be bent over. You might be bent over in your vision or spirit because of the bondages of the devil. You should know today child of God that the Lord see you, He knows your name, and He knows your needs. He can also deliver you and can straighten your life. He came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18).

The devil might have crippled you to an extent where you have lost hope and you feel abandoned even by God. I want to encourage you today to take heart, do not be discouraged or dismayed. Jesus knows you, He knows your sufferings and infirmities.

The woman we read about was bound in a crippled condition for eighteen years, yet she still had faith. She did not allow her condition to control and dictate when she should worship her God. She was there in the synagogue on the Sabbath when Jesus was teaching. She was waiting earnestly to hear the word of God.

Like the crippled woman, Jesus is calling you over today. You need to draw near to God and walk closely with Him at all times if you want His power to manifest in your life. Do not let your problems keep you from worshiping God. You might not be able to take yourself out of that condition you are in, but Christ can. He has superior power than the devil.

May the Lord intervene in your situation today in the name of Jesus Christ!
