FOR US IT IS NOT HAPPY HOLIDAYS BUT MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Scripture Reading: Philippians 2:10 “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth” (NKJV)

There are Christians who choose not to celebrate Christmas because the Bible does not give us the date of Christ’s birth. We cannot allow ourselves to stop celebrating the birth of our Saviour. As Christians who have been saved by His grace, we just want to celebrate the fact that He came down just for us. We do not care about the exact date of His birth. We see Christmas as an opportunity to acknowledge the love of God which manifested in the coming down of Christ to save the nations. For God so loved the world and He sent His only begotten Son so that we should gain eternal life.

Though there are many who criticise the celebrations of Christmas, they somehow indirectly participate in the celebrations, thereby acknowledging this great day. Even though they may not admit that He is the Son of God, you will find many of them making money out of selling Christmas related items, thus admitting to the greatness of Christmas day. Many of these people know that the name of Jesus is associated with riches. Even evil people who hate Jesus know that going around screaming His name will boost their sales around this time of Christmas. They may not say it, but in using His name for whatever reason, they are acknowledging His Kingship and bowing down to His name.

All knees shall bow down to Jesus! He cannot be ignored for He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Do you know of any man whose birth is acknowledged throughout the world? I surely have not seen or heard of anyone like Him. God has highly exalted Jesus and given Him a name that is above all names. A name that is celebrated by nations all over the world. Christmas is widely acknowledged and celebrated.

Child of God, Christmas is a very important time to the body of Christ and to the whole world. You have to remember what was done for you and celebrate your salvation. The exact date of birth of Christ is not important. What matters is that your sins are forgiven because of Christmas. Through the coming of Jesus, you and your family came out of slavery and suffering afflicted by the devil. Today you enjoy freedom from captivity. Today you are also able to enjoy 24 hour protection from the angelic forces of heaven because of Christ. This is the reason why you must celebrate Christmas as a child of God.
Celebrate your freedom in Christ! Celebrate your protection! Celebrate your breakthroughs! Celebrate your joy in the Lord! Celebrate your good health! Most importantly celebrate your heavenly citizenship for you are reconciled with the Father and shall surely enjoy eternity with Christ. May you enjoy Christmas and never forget its significance in the name of Jesus Christ who came down and suffered for your well being! We shall not say happy holidays but we shall continue shouting Merry Christmas!
