Scripture Reading: Hebrews 10:19-22 “Therefore, believers, since we have confidence and full freedom to enter the Holy Place [the place where God dwells] by [means of] the blood of Jesus, by this new and living way which He initiated and opened for us through the veil [as in the Holy of Holies], that is, through His flesh, and since we have a great and wonderful Priest [Who rules] over the house of God, let us approach [God] with a true and sincere heart in unqualified assurance of faith, having had our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.” (AMP)

Before the coming of Jesus on earth, the Lord had stipulated rules on how worship was to be conducted in His holy temple. Under the old covenant, the Israelites would carry out animal sacrifices and worship according to the Law of Mosses. Inside the temple, there was a curtain that separated the Holy place from the Holy of Holies, where Jehovah God dwelt. Not everyone was allowed access to go beyond the curtain where the presence of God was; only the high priests were permitted. The Israelites would stand outside while the priest went inside the Holy of Holies on their behalf, having been sprinkled with the blood of an animal for purification. This was done at least once a year to offer sacrifices for the forgiveness of their sins. However, none of these rituals would completely wipe away the sins of the people so Jesus came down and became the perfect atonement for sins, once and for all time.
At the moment that Jesus gave up His spirit and died on the cross, the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom (Matthew 27:50-51) This symbolised that a way into the Holy of Holies was open for all the people for all time, even the Gentiles who were not originally included in the plan of God. A New Covenant was established with Jesus as our eternal High Priest. That meant that there is no need for people to have an earthly high priest to approach the Holy of Holies for them. All those who receive Jesus are royal priests who are given access to enter the holy throne of Jehovah by themselves.
Jesus qualified you to go where the angels worship. In other words, when you are praying, you must approach the Holy of Holies with freedom and confidence knowing that the blood of Jesus qualifies you.
Direct lines of communication between you and your God are opened; just boldly go inside and do not doubt because you have been qualified. Do not listen to the devil when he tries to remind you of all your past sins. He is a liar! You are qualified to enter the Holy of Holies through your prayers because you are a Royal Priest who is sprinkled by the blood of the perfect lamb. When you appear before the Father, He sees the blood of His Son, Jesus, so you must enter with confidence.

When you approach His presence, draw nearer with a sincere heart, having absolute trust on His power. Believe that He loves you and He cares about you and prepare to enter a place where you get to have a meeting with your Father.
The Psalmist in Psalm 100:4 gives us a formula of how to approach the holy throne inside the Holy of Holies. He says you must enter the gates with thanksgiving and the courts with praises unto the One who sits on the throne eternally. According to this formula, it means that in your prayers, you ought to enter with thanksgiving. Be thankful to the Lord for His goodness upon your life. There are so many things to be thankful for. Your thanksgiving shall open the gates for you. Thanksgiving is very important because it shall enable you to proceed to the inner courts. Do not allow yourself to end up at the gate or turn back at the courts. When you get there, praise Him for His great works. Look around you and see how beautiful and well-coordinated His creation is. Look at the complicated machine that He has created in you and allow your spirit to magnify Him for His great works. You are some piece of work, complete and complicated. See the beauty of His creation and praise Him for it.
Your praises shall automatically usher you to proceed to the Holy Throne inside the Holy of Holies. When you are inside, worship Him by acknowledging who He is and what He means to you. Express your deep love and sincere adoration for Him. The Father loves receiving sacrifices of adoration from His children. This shall automatically release the answers to your prayers before you even ask for anything. It is very important to stay focused in your worship and not allow the flesh to dictate to you. If you allow the flesh to rule you, it shall keep you outside the gate and you shall not enter the Holy of Holies. It is pointless to go to the Lord in prayer and go back without having a meeting with Him inside His dwelling.
Beloved, this is a formula you need to adapt to your daily life. Each and every child of God needs to have an understanding of the right way to approach the King. When you sincerely do this with all your heart, won’t He release blessings for you? Worshiping God in truth and in spirit opens doors for a Christian. All you have to do is enter Holy of Holies every day and love and adore your Father in heaven. May the Spirit of God lead you to His presence in the name of Jesus Chris!
