YOUR ENEMIES SHALL SUFFER THE WRATH OF AN ANGRY GOD
O My people, who dwell in Zion, do not be afraid of the Assyrian. He shall strike you with a rod and lift up his staff against you, in the manner of Egypt. For yet a very little while and the indignation will cease, as will My anger in their destruction.” And the LORD of hosts will stir up a scourge for him like the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb; as His rod was on the sea, so will He lift it up in the manner of Egypt Scripture Reading: Isaiah 10:24-26 (NKJV)
The words above were spoken by the Lord giving comfort to His people when they were oppressed under the hand of the Assyrians. The prophet Isaiah used two examples to illustrate the Lord’s future deliverance of Israel. He reminded them of Gideon’s victory over the Midianites (Judges 7:25) and the slaughter of the Egyptians who pursued the Israelites through the Red Sea (Exodus 14:16-27.) The Assyrians had oppressed the Israelites and God promised to deliver them from their hand. The Lord hates the suffering of His children, hence He took our place by suffering on the cross.
Jesus called you to himself to break the devil's power over your life. He suffered so that you may be set free from the captivity of the devil (Isaiah 61:1) He brought you to Himself so that you may experience His power and testify about Him. He wants to answer your prayers so that you may see the difference between Him and other false gods. Other gods have eyes that cannot see and ears that cannot hear (Psalm 135:15-17.) You shall know that Jesus Christ is a prayer answering God who delivers. He wants you to know that His hand is not too short to save nor His ear too dull to hear (Isaiah 59:1.).
His presence not only brings deliverance but also includes other benefits. Receiving Jesus automatically comes with the favour, prosperity and divine health. Goodness shall flow in your life for as long as you shall live. If you have a problem with demon oppression, this Word comes to set you free. Those Assyrians shall suffer the wrath of an angry God. Your God shall do to them what He did to the Egyptians in biblical times; their wheels shall collide and cause them to drown in the Red Sea.
It does not matter how big that Assyrian is. The Lord is able to deliver you from this evil hand. Do not let the devil convince you that your situation is hopeless. Even if that may be the case, rejoice because Jesus specialises in hopeless cases. He delights in panel beating that which has been declared a write off. He is the type of God who waits for Lazarus to die so that He may resurrects him after 3 days, just to prove that He is able to resurrect the dead (John 11:1-44).
Child of God, do not be afraid of your enemies anymore because the Lord shall deliver you from their captivity. They neither have the power to destroy nor kill you because you have received Christ as your Lord and Saviour. The anger of the Lord is upon them and they shall suffer the wrath of an angry God!
