Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. Scripture reading John 5: 1-9

The Lord Jesus is a compassionate Saviour. He does not want people to suffer and be tormented by illnesses. Hence, He came and died for us so that we may have life in abundance. He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him and by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Therefore sicknesses can no longer rule in our bodies, for through faith in the Lord Jesus we are made whole. In the above Scripture we read about the man who had been sick for thirty eight years and used to sit by the pool of Bethesda. The bible says that the pool of Bethesda had five porches. In those laid a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease they had. This man used to sit there hoping for a miracle however he could not help himself because he could not walk. Each time the water got stirred someone would jump in before him.

The man had been in one condition for too long. He was desperate for healing and he needed change in his life. He was in the right place because he was sitting next to the pool where healing and deliverance was taking place. He was in a place where the angel of the Lord was present and this made him a candidate for a miracle. Although the man did not know Jesus, he had faith in the healing of the water that was stirred by the angel of the Lord. The bible says the Lord Jesus appeared to him and asked him whether he wanted to be healed. Instead of saying yes the man started complaining about his condition. After hearing that Jesus said to him: Rise, take your bed and walk. Immediately the man started walking.

Child of God, I do not know how your life is crippled today. Maybe you have been living with sicknesses like that man of Bethesda, maybe you are crippled in your soul, maybe your heart is broken, maybe you are crippled in your finances or in your marriage. As you read this message today I want you to know that you are a candidate for a miracle. There is a reason why you were led to this Facebook page at this specific time. It is time for your Divine visitation. The Lord is present and He wants to change your life. I urge you today, stop complaining like the man of Bethesda. Tell the Lord Jesus what you want Him to do it for you.

The Lord is able to change your condition today because He knows the area of your life that is crippled. Maybe you have tried to find help in different places and no one was able to help you. You need to have faith in Jesus. Be like that father who had a son who was epileptic, when he was told that nothing shall be impossible to him who believes. He replied and said Lord I believe! Your faith should be like that of the Canaanite woman who needed healing for her daughter (Matthew 15:21-28). When Jesus ignored her, she continued following Him because she knew that Jesus is a healer and she was not going to leave until she received that healing. Even when Jesus told her that she did not qualify to receive the children’s bread. The woman replied and said even the dogs eat the crumps that fall off from the masters table. Jesus marvelled at the faith of this woman and He gave her what she wanted.

As you read this message today, refuse to remain the same! You have been unemployed for too long, you have been sick for too long, you have been failing at school for too long, and you have been having that marital problem for too long. It is time to take your mat and walk! Jesus is with you today and He says you rise and walk.
