THE SEVEN BLESSINGS OF ABRAHAM

Now the LORD had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed Genesis 12:1-3 (NKJV)

In the above scripture, we read about Abraham the man of faith. The Lord gave Him an instruction and he obeyed. Abraham, in his old age, decided to follow the leading of God, he left everything he knew behind and took a leap of faith as he obeyed. His obedience paved the path that would eventually lead to our salvation. Through the seed of Abraham, Jesus Christ, we are saved and have received eternal life. Now, the number seven is a very significant to our Christianity. The Lord created everything and rested on the seventh day and as we read through the bible, the number seven and its multiples appears many times. The number stands for perfection and completion. Jesus is the author and perfecter of our faith and I believe that through this word you are also getting perfected. Your faith is getting perfected so that you may be able to please Him and rely on Him. Life is full of uncertainty and we cannot claim to know what the future holds. It is only God who knows your future and He wants to direct your footsteps.

We read about the seven blessings of Abraham above. The Lord promised Abraham that He would bless all the people of the earth through him, including you dear reader. These seven blessings of Abraham are yours and as you read about them, I encourage you to open your heart, believe the Lord and receive these blessings. Firstly, Abraham was promised a land that the Lord would show him. This is the first blessing for your life; there is a promised land for you, a land of miracles and wonders. Israel is a miraculous land; it is a fertile land that produces many kinds of food. It is fertile even though it is a desert, so fertile in fact that the trees are weighed down by the heaviness of their fruit. You should also expect to be led to a supernatural life and the Lord, being faithful, shall do it for you. I speak this blessing over you; you shall shift to higher places in life. You shall be led and you will never get lost. You will not live a life of trial and error; solutions to problems will come naturally to you. Do not look at how far into 2018 we have moved, I declare that it will not take you a long time to get to where God has purposed for you this year. I release this blessing over your life and I say even the curses over your life are getting broken. The family demons and the witches will not stop you.

Secondly, the Lord promised to make Abraham a great nation. As a Christian you belong to the church of Jesus. The church is a great family and we are never alone, the Lord is on our side. In your life, what you do will be great! You will do great works through the enablement of God and people will be forced to take note of you. Now, for the third blessing, the Lord said “I will bless you”. What did this mean for Abraham’s Life? He was getting empowered to succeed in every area of his life. Hear the word child of God, the Lord will also empower you to succeed in every area of your life, in whatever that you set your mind to do. This is the divine empowerment. Even when enemies stand in your way, they will not stop you because of this divine empowerment, the divine enablement! What I know is that God blesses and He gives more grace to the humble. You shall succeed spiritually, physically, materially and in all other areas of your life. Where your education, your money and your wisdom cannot take you, the grace shall take you there! People may mock you and say the blessing will run out but I say year after year they will see the blessing of God moving you to higher levels. You shall be blessed going in and blessed going out, your storehouse shall be blessed and your business shall be blessed.

The fourth blessing was “I shall make your name great.” This divine enablement has come for you too, the Lord shall make your name great. You shall be counted among the great because of God working in you. The divine enablement will cause you to do great things, things of note, things that cannot be ignored. You shall do great works. With the fifth blessing, God shall bless you and you will become a blessing. Those who bless you shall be blessed. You will be used as an instrument to bring blessings into the lives of the people of God. Those who receive you shall receive the light and goodness of God that resides in you. Those who sit and plot against you or speak badly about you are in trouble because they shall incur curses.

Through the sixth blessing, all families of the earth shall be blessed. The death of Jesus connected you to the blessing of Abraham and that blessing is still in effect to this day. Through you many people will know the Lord and see His light. Many will see the greatness of God because of the blessing and goodness of God upon you. Finally, Abraham had all that He needed. He was blessed materially; he had silver and gold, he had flocks and he had servants. I say the blessings of Abraham are yours! The blessings of Israel are yours! God is taking you to a good and spacious land and there He will do wonders. He is taking you to a land that flows with milk and honey. The cows in Israel are fat and cheese is available in abundance. The dates that produce honey are so many, that a lot of them are exported. There is an overflow in that land and the land you are destined for also overflows with milk and honey. God cares about what you eat, drink and wear and He wants to provide for you.

Every promise that was made to Abraham has to come to pass in your life! The Lord does not want to pass you, believe the Lord and you shall be blessed. Believe that He wants to take your life forward! He wants you to shine! When you look at the life of Abraham you see empowerment, the Lord wants to do the same with you! There should be evidence in your life that you are born of God and filled with the goodness from above. I say receive this grace in the name of Jesus and be blessed!
