EXODUS 1: 6-10, “And Joseph died, all his brothers, and all that generation. But the children of Israel were fruitful and increased abundantly, multiplied and grew exceedingly mighty; and the land was filled with them. Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph. And he said to his people, ‘Look, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we; come, let us deal shrewdly with them, lest they multiply, and it happen, in the event of war, that they also join our enemies and fight against us, and so go up out of the land.”

Long before the sons of Israel came to Egypt, Abraham received a revelation from the Lord that his descendants would be strangers in a foreign land and would be enslaved and oppressed for 400 years (Genesis 15:13-16). He also revealed that they would be a great nation, which He would bless (Genesis 12:2). In Egypt, Israel indeed increased abundantly, and their growing numbers became a huge challenge for Pharaoh. He felt threatened by them and feared that they would eventually overpower Egypt. He then devised a wicked plan to hinder their growth. He imposed hard labour to oppress them. However, the more the Egyptians oppressed the Israelites, the more they multiplied and the stronger they became. Pharaoh knew of the power that God had vested in the Israelites and he did not want them to become what God wanted them to be. By oppressing them, he wanted to weaken them so that they were restricted and not reach their destiny. Witches in this day still use this tactic to oppress people and block them from becoming what God has destined them to be. Beloved, God has great plans for your life, and He has bestowed His power upon you. His plans are to prosper you and not to harm you (Jeremiah 29:11). The devil knows that, and he is afraid of it, thus he works tirelessly through his witches to restrict you.

Remember that witches serve their master, the devil. Their mission is to kill, steal, and destroy people’s lives (John 10:10). Their job is to block people and make sure that people stay confined in one place. They do not want you to multiply and become strong. They do not want you to work and earn a living, prosper, get married, and live a decent life. As a result, they use muthi to keep you and your family in one place. However, that will not happen because there are things that God has said about you which cannot be revoked by anyone. The devil always opposes the will of God by saying the opposite of what was declared by God in His Word. The devil’s words have no power in the lives of those who have received Christ. Let’s see whose word is more powerful in your life between God’s Word, which declares that you shall occupy the Promised Land, and the Egyptians’ word, which says that you shall remain trapped in one place. When power meets power, the lesser power has to bow! The Word of the Lord shall come to pass in your life, and you shall prosper in the name of Jesus!
