Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand Scripture reading: Ephesians 6:10-13 (NIV)

In the above verses Apostle Paul encourages us to put on the full armor of God and to be strong in the Lord since we are in a spiritual fight which is against an enemy who is determined to destroy you as a Christian. The devil has waged war against your life and the advancement of the Kingdom of God.

You should be prepared for a spiritual warfare. God has provided you with the best weapons to drive back the attacks of the devil. You need to put on the full armor of God by being fully armed with the Word of God, and pray unceasingly. Maintain your salvation by walking in spirit and in truth, walk also in righteousness and in faithfulness. You will surely defeat the enemy by doing so.

In his walk with Christ, Apostle Paul went through a lot of oppositions and physical torment because of the advancement of the Kingdom of God. But, he persisted in advancing the Kingdom of God regardless of the challenges he encountered.

You are also supposed to be strong as a Christian because you are obviously going to come across challenges as you have chosen to follow Christ. However, trials should not stop you from praying and following God, stand as a soldier in Christ even in those trials. Persecutions and trouble should find you fully armed each time they arise.

Always remember that your struggle is not against human beings but against the devil, principalities and authorities. Pray all the time because your prayers frustrate the devil hence he keeps coming with tricks trying to discourage you.
