Now [in Haran] the LORD had said to Abram, “Go away from your country, And from your relatives and from your father’s house, To the land which I will show you; 2 And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you [abundantly], And make your name great (exalted, distinguished); And you shall be a blessing [a source of great good to others]; 3 And I will bless (do good for, benefit) those who bless you, And I will curse [that is, subject to My wrath and judgment] the one who curses (despises, dishonors, has contempt for) you. And in you all the families (nations) of the earth will be blessed Scripture reading: Genesis 12:1-3 AMP

Abraham was called by God to move away from his comfortable abode in Haran. God commanded him to separate from that which was dear and close to him. Today as the spiritual Israel we are able to access the blessings of God through Abraham's obedience (Genesis 22:18).

The same call still applies to you as a spiritual descendent of Abraham. Have you moved from where you used to be? Have you moved from that which is familiar to you? Have you willingly answered the call of the Lord and moved to the land He has shown you without hesitation?

Those who have heeded the call by moving away from their sins and separated from that which is ungodly shall receive the blessings of Abraham. If you have moved away from the ungodly practices of your family members and responded positively to the call of the Lord, you can be assured that the blessings spoken over Abrahams’s life are yours (Galatians 3:14).
