Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. The wild animals honour me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen, the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise Isaiah 43:18-21 (NIV

We serve a God who is able to do abundantly, exceedingly, above and beyond our expectations. He is a God who answers prayers and He is able to grant the desires of your heart. At this point, we are in a season of the Abrahamic blessings and the Word of God tells us to forget about the former things. This is the time to forget the life of sin. This is also the time to forget about all the things you used to do, otherwise you might miss the blessings of God. This is the time to forget the life of fornication, of adultery and of hatred. God hates sin and those who live in sin cannot receive what comes from God.

The Lord wants to do a new thing in your life, let go of that grudge and hatred. Psalm 81:10 reads “Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.” The Lord is ready to fill you up, you just need to let go of sin. When you repent and accept Jesus, your life will change. You then need to lead a Holy life and allow the Spirit of God to usher you into these heavenly blessings.

Like Lazarus, the Spirit of God can rescue you from the grave, He can resurrect you from that life of darkness and stagnation. You need to open your heart to the Lord. When you worship the Lord with all your strength, your situation is bound to change. Like Paul and Silas did in Acts 16, worship the Lord and He will act in your life.

It is also important to have faith in God for without faith, it is impossible to please God. There are things you know you do not qualify to receive but have faith in God and His grace will qualify you. God loves you very much, He gave His only son as a sacrifice for your sins. He wants to bless you, allow Him to accelerate you. He is the God who prospers His people. In Isaiah 45:3, He promised to give you the treasures of darkness. His promise has not changed.

God has not changed fellow brethren. He is still the same God who brought down the walls of Jericho. He is still the undefeated God and nothing is too hard for Him. You need to check your life and ensure you are living right. The Lord is ready to bless you. Surrender your life completely to Jesus Christ, the Author and the Finisher of our faith.
