When we read from the scriptures referred above, we are told that the Lord was not happy about King Jeroboam's idolatry; who built shrines on high places and set up his own priests from every class of people who were not Levites. One day, a man of God came from Judah to Bethel by revelation from God. This was a time when King Jeroboam was about to burn incense. The man of God cried out against the altar saying , "Altar, altar, thus says the Lord! Scripture reference: 1 Kings 12:25-32 and 1 Kings 13:1-5 (verse 2)

In 1 Kings 13:4 "When King Jeroboam heard the man of God speaking against the altar at Bethel, he pointed at him and shouted, “Seize that man!” But instantly the king’s hand became paralyzed in that position, and he couldn’t pull it back." NLT.

King Jeroboam tried to harm that man of God but the same hand he pointed to the man of God shrivelled and withered and it would not straighten up.

My brethren, as you stand against evil altars in your family and in your nation, those in charge of the altars will try to oppose you and hinder you. The Lord is aware of their evil plans against you. He shall raise a standard against them. The captives shall be set free from the enemy’s camp because of your dedication to the things of God.

Like in the scriptures above, they might want to kill you; they will want to destroy you and they will want to oppose you but their hand will just be shrivelled by the power of God.

Whatever harm they intend towards your life will not work because you are not doing your own thing, you are chosen by God to do what you have to do. You are sent by God in that family to destroy the idol and ancestral worship. You are sent by God to set your family free from the Pharaohs.

The family spirits would want to kill you. Some of you, before coming to church, during the night they were trying to choke you in your sleep; they appeared to you trying to discourage you from coming to the house of God. Be strong and be courageous. The Lord gave you strength because He wants to save many souls through you.

Arise! Confess that: Enough is Enough! The captives shall be set free in your family and in your nation in the name of Jesus Christ!
