And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover. As children of God, we are on a mission of proclaiming the victory that Jesus Christ won at Calvary. We are here on earth to proclaim the Gospel and we are assured that we are not on our own (Matthew 28:20). In John 14:12 Jesus said that those who believe in Him will do the works He did and even greater works. This indicates that Jesus wanted the work of soul winning to continue after His ascension.

In the verses cited above, Jesus said signs shall follow those who believe. In His name they will cast out demons. Also, in His name they will lay hands on the sick and they will be healed. Child of God, you are empowered from above. It is therefore your responsibility as a Christian to convey the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of the world. It is also your responsibility as a Christian to tell people that they do not have to suffer because there is Jesus who has been given all the power and authority to rule over everything.

Jesus left us with a mandate of destroying the devil. It is written in 1 John 3:8 that “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” You ought to be confident talking about your God because you are nullifying the negativity the world has about the Lord every time you do that. You are annulling and destroying the works of the devil through the Gospel you preach every day.

The devil will try to confuse you and use his agents trying to destroy you, but you should stand for the truth nonetheless because the devil has been defeated already. You should still tell the world about your God. The Lord wants people to benefit from what you have been equipped with about Him. You are a meant to benefit the Kingdom of God, thus refuse to be a beneficiary who does not benefit anyone.

May the Lord impart more grace upon your life to evangelize to all without timidity.
