The Lord Broke the Chains of Delay in Her Life — Healed and Blessed With a Job

Ms. Carol Makatu glorifies the Lord for the deliverance, healing, and breakthrough He has brought into her life after years of struggle and disappointment. Ms. Makatu comes from a family background that practiced ancestral worship and they practiced as witchdoctors. From a young age, she was chosen to follow the path of becoming a witchdoctor. However, she refused to accept the calling and initiate as a witchdoctor. After rejecting the calling, she was told that nothing will go well in her life unless she accepted the calling. Thereafter, her life became marked by constant struggles and suffering. She was tormented by evil dreams and would often dream of events before they happened. She also suffered from sleepwalking. On numerous occasions, she would hear a voice calling her name while asleep and would unknowingly walk out of the house in the middle of the night in response to that voice. These experiences negatively affected every area of her life. Although she attended Unity Fellowship Church from a very young age together with her mother, she never enjoyed coming to church and was often forced to attend. Over time, she developed an unexplained resentment towards the church and towards the Servant of God, Pastor Mukhuba. She would become angry simply by seeing her, despite having no reason to feel that way. Eventually, she stopped attending church altogether. In 2020, she completed her matric but failed Mathematics, which prevented her from obtaining tertiary admission. Determined to improve her results, she rewrote Mathematics in 2021, but failed again. She attempted it once more in 2022 and failed for a third time. After these repeated disappointments, she decided not to rewrite Mathematics again and instead enrolled for a Transportation and Logistics course at college. She performed well during her first year of studies. However, when she entered her second year, she began experiencing serious academic challenges. She repeatedly failed key modules and found herself having to repeat the same subjects year after year. The continual failures took a severe toll on her emotional well-being and eventually led to suicidal thoughts. After enduring years of disappointment, she made the decision to return to church. This time, she came back to Unity Fellowship Church on her own, without anyone forcing her to attend. In 2025, she once again registered for the major module she had struggled with for years. She also enrolled to rewrite her matric Mathematics and registered for a SAP Logistics certification. During this period, she became committed to the things of God and faithfully attending church services. As she continued attending services, the Lord delivered her from the evil dreams and the sleepwalking condition that had tormented her for many years. When she first returned to church, she did not believe in giving special offerings and considered them a waste of money. However, as she continued growing spiritually, her attitude changed and she began participating in special offerings. A few weeks before writing her final examinations, she gave a special offering and wrote her examination number and student number on the offering envelope as a point of faith, trusting God for a breakthrough in her studies. In January 2026, she participated in the 40 Days of Fasting and Prayer. During this period, she checked her examination results and discovered that she had passed the module she had struggled with for years, achieving distinctions. She also checked her Mathematics results and found that she had finally passed. Glory to Jesus! After completing her studies, she began applying for employment opportunities. On 28 April 2026, she decided to attend the Workers' Preparation Service. Immediately after making the decision to come to church, she received an email inviting her to apply for four job positions. She submitted applications for all four posts and attended the service, where she also gave a special offering. Shortly thereafter, the enemy attempted to discourage her. She had a dream in which her belongings were being stolen. Following that dream, she received rejection emails for all four positions she had applied for. The rejections deeply troubled her, but she refused to give up. Instead, she continued trusting God and attended the Workers' Service on 1 May 2026, believing for divine intervention. Not long afterwards, her breakthrough arrived. On 4 May 2026, she received an email from one of the companies that had previously rejected her, inviting her for an interview the very next day. She attended the interview and was amazed at how confidently and accurately she answered the questions. A week later, she progressed to the second stage of the recruitment process, which involved fingerprint verification. The very next day, she received an offer letter confirming her appointment. Today, she is employed. Glory to Jesus! Furthermore, Ms Makatu had been suffering from severe chest pains since 2025. The pain extended to her back and became so intense that she struggled to turn her body without discomfort. Whenever she took deep breaths, she experienced sharp pains in her chest. She consulted medical doctors and was diagnosed with stress. Although she was prescribed medication to manage the pain, the symptoms would always return once the medication was finished. She attended the Preparation Sunday to Testimony Weekend Service on the 31st May 2026. During the service, as Pastor Mukhuba was ministering, she instructed those who had come to the service sick to check their bodies for signs of healing. Ms. Makatu immediately checked herself and realized that the chest pain had completely disappeared. She was able to turn to her right side freely without any discomfort, and when she took deep breaths, the sharp pain was no longer there. The Lord had instantly healed her. Glory to Jesus!
